Trail Awareness Reminder:
Increased Wildlife Activity

Just a friendly reminder as it is the time of year when many animals are raising their young.

There have been reports of coyotes in the area near the waterfall in Stoneybrook as well as a few bear sightings in the county. This isn't unusual, but it is a good reminder that when we're riding in the woods, we're sharing the trails with wildlife.

During spring and summer, animals with babies can be more active, protective, and defensive than at other times of the year. Please stay aware of your surroundings, keep a respectful distance from any wildlife you encounter, and avoid approaching.

There's no need for alarm—just awareness and common sense while out and about. Thank you for helping keep both our trails and wildlife safe.
